Flexible 4-Port MIMO Antennas for Smart Vehicle Communication
Antenna & RF

Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces are a major antenna and propagation research direction for next-generation wireless systems. The research problem can range from unit-cell design to finite arrays, beam steering, polarization control and channel-aware reconfiguration.
A unit cell can be optimized for reflection phase range, loss, polarization response and bandwidth. Varactor-, PIN-diode- or switch-inspired states can be represented with lumped boundaries or equivalent circuits.
Finite or periodic arrays can be evaluated for phase-gradient control, steering angle, sidelobe level and efficiency. Different coding states can be compared.
S-parameters, reflection phase, surface current, near field, far-field pattern and realized gain are core outputs. Parametric sweeps help connect geometry to electromagnetic response.
Multi-band operation, polarization reconfigurability, compact biasing, low-loss substrates, AI-assisted phase coding or integration with MIMO can create a stronger contribution.
